Woman dead after fatal collision in Oshawa

Durham Regional Police are investigating a fatal ride-share collision in Oshawa that occurred on February 5, near Taunton Road and Mary Street North around 4:20 p.m. A woman was riding in a vehicle that came to a stop, and after exiting, she was struck by the vehicle as it pulled away.

She was taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The driver remained at the scene. The cause of the collision is under investigation, and it’s unclear if charges are pending.
