Researchers from the University of Helsinki and the Folkhälsan Research Center have identified the genetic cause of atherosclerosis, an arterial disease occurring in cats. The discovery may help prevent the incidence of the disease in cats and possibly open new courses for human therapies. The paper is published in the journal Animal Genetics.
